Quick counterattack is not part of the Tortorella plan. Offense is not a part of the Tortorella plan, which he has always been open and honest about. If you want quick counterattack then you're defending the wrong barking tree.
All he cares about is defense and preventing scoring. He actually worries about scoring too much. He once said you cannot win by filling the net, which is ridiculous because that's actually exactly how you win. The team that does the most of that wins. Every time!
