He has been very calm with the puck, and mostly done the simple things (meant positively in this context). Exceptionally small sample size, but looks composed and solid.

No it's impossible to explain because in hockey all that matters is individual ability. Ask all the Nash haters. It's impossible obviously to understand how a good player can struggle (and vice versa).
