The NHL should just release a box collection of films titled "How to NOT defend in front of the crease" and it's just a video clips of the Alain Vigneault years with the Rangers.
The defensive zone strategy is pee wee levels. Such a basic concept - the guy in front of the net is ALWAYS more dangerous than the guy behind it. Yet we consistently send two guys down low and leave players all alone in front. How is this acceptable? How does a dumb f*** like me with no hockey experience know this but a guy who's been coaching for 20 years doesn't?
