Way better than Etem. Good at breaking things down, didn't seem afraid to be critical. I didn't notice her the way I often notice Etem... she was just kind of doing the job, not being the job, if that makes any sense?
In Wood's last season, she and Etem each did one of the last two games. I thought she was better then too, but also thought he'd grow into the role. Which maybe he still will? It just still feels like he's trying way too hard. Like the 'overly excitable kids show host' trope, but make it hockey.
I don't actually hate Etem, I respect his enthusiasm and he and Steve do play off each other better these days. But one of these days I am going to chuck my phone out a window when he calls the power play the "peepers".

The Stat Card graphic does not match the eye test.
LaCombe gets credit for the assist on the first goal, but since he immediately got off the ice along with Minty before the goal was scored, neither LaCombe nor Minty got the +1 rating. Instead, Trouba and Dumo got the +1 rating just for jumping off the bench. (You can see this on NHL.com's score visualizer.) Meaning that the GF and xGF are taken away from Minty and LaCombe being on the ice.

just watched the helleson hit for the first time, and i think 5 min and misconduct should be the extent of it
zary moves his legs apart as he tries to make a move and his knee ends up sticking out even further than helleson's. really not sure what else helleson is supposed to do there as he's lining up the hit. unfortunate result, but i don't see how that should be a suspension

Getz works for DoPS, but I think the head guy is still Parros. Maybe Getz can make Parros ease up on us?

We’re nothing without Terry and Hazy
I know that Lundestrom and Killorn combined on that goal, and it was a nice rush and a nice shot. But otherwise, those two destroyed so many offensive chances, they should be tried for their crimes. Yes, Leo struggled as well. He's not immune from criticism. But those two were so bad. Strome also had a terrible game.
That said, this was still an entertaining game where the team battled and got a deserved point. In fact, they deserved more. That no call on LaCombe on the breakaway was garbage.

Super nice to see that big hit from Helleson. I wonder whom he took the inspiration from – could it be another defenseman or two from this team? Could it also be another righty? 
At the end of the game at least, I thiught we did not look good. Flames were pressuring and we just were able to skate into their zone and maybe make a sog. No pressure on them at all. So 1 point feels good but still underwhelmed, we needed this win.
Next game vs Blues, another team almost next to us in the standings. "A meaningful game" so to speak
