Start pressuring Keller, Cooley, and Kesselring to go to the world championships. Thank you

If Utah misses the playoffs (we will) and Keller opts out of the World Championships, I would have no problem with him being excluded from the 2026 Olympics as a result. Cooley and Kesselring, though, are quite the stretch to be in consideration for next year's Olympics, however, whether they show up to the worlds or not. That said, considering who's going to be missing due to being on NHL teams that actually make the playoffs, I'd be disappointed if USA Hockey doesn't try to select all three of these guys.

Lots of great players did next to nothing in 3 games but you don't typically base your decisions for the most important game only on 3 games. Sullivan should know Connor is 2nd in goals and maybe he should be out there when they need a goal. It's just ignorant, like if you demote ovechkin in game 4 of a playoff series because he hasn't scored yet.
Correct. A good equivalent would have been Canada benching Marner. Good thing for them they didn't.

At either rate the US would have better off with Kyle Connor having an invisible game than Nelson, Kreider, and Trocheck being very visible in how bad they were. That management/coaching decision arguably cost them the championship. I think Canada, especially with their roster decisions and injuries, was ripe for the taking, and Sullivan and Guerin didn't give their squad the best chance to win.

He hasn't shown up since 2019, so hopefully he'll make the investment if he's healthy. He's a great player but he's not good enough to not commit to the program and still expect to make our best teams.
For a while it was questionable if there were going to be "best teams" again, so maybe he checked out a little bit in that regard.

We needed Mike Modano jersey flapping flying up the ice. Seriously though, I would have moved Hughes to center. For the Olympics I think we need to think carefully about the forward group. Need more creativity/execution. Not sure who that would be though. Keller? Cooley? Maybe Patrick Kane if he has a strong start to the year next season? I would say Quinn Hughes will be a huge help.

Hughes can't play center with New Jersey. He's been better this year - and killed penalties at times - but is still a defensive liability when he's on the ice.

From a Michelin 3 Star feast of hockey to the watery, insipid gruel of being a Sabres' fan.

The Olympics can't come soon enougI've.
Wish I could laugh at posts...

Reports are Trocheck played with at least 1 broken finger which limited his ability to shoot or do a ton. Not sure anyone else saw that but that definitely sucks trying to play through

I'll say it - the roster/lineup decisions for this team were malpractices in coaching/management. Inexcusably bad. Sullivan and Guerin shouldn't touch another national team.
