mcavoy had a really strong game against canada. big loss for the americans.

I know we need Matthews and Hughes to score too, but I was impressed with their defensive work against Canada on Saturday. Matthews in particular seemed extra committed, and the PDOCast team pointed out that Sullivan was deploying him and Slavin H2H against Canada's big guns.

Matthews plays Selke caliber defense so that should be of no surprise.
