I've watched Quinn enough to know how dangerous he is (I have his jersey). He's been banged up all year and still imo out performing Makar. The trade off favors USA which is fine to me he was supposed to be playing anyways but he's going to be a massive target and part of his game is holding into the puck so there will be plenty opportunity. This game is definitely not short on drama lolThe bigger advantage for Canada is that McDavid and Crosby won't have to be worried about getting tossed around by McAvoy again.
The rule is dumb all around. However, US couldn't even ice a full roster yesterday. Clearly something is wrong on a best on best North American tournament and you have to skate 11 forwards. Canada shouldn't have had to go through all that mess with Harley just to even suit up. NHL keeps tripping on its own dick trying to make things more difficult than it should be..Aren’t we being treated exactly like Canada? We had 7 defensemen, 1 goes down (McAvoy), 1 gets called up (Hughes) but can’t play unless another defenseman gets hurt. Canada had 7 defensemen, 1 goes down (Theodore), 1 gets called up (Harley) and couldn’t play unless another defenseman went down (Makar), then he could play.
I don’t understand what the complaint is. What am I missing here?
I mean Brady is a beast out there but Matthew while a tough player isn’t exactly above getting laid out. Different style then Brady. Not sure how well targeting the Tkachuk brothers will go for Canada...
Let’s f***ing go!!!
Jack doesn't need to be jumpstarted. He needs to calm tf down.Quinn better not reaggravate his oblique injury, that's all I have to say. The championship game just became a whole lot more interesting. This will likely jumpstart Jack also.
Sanderson is gonna get “hurt” before Thursday and Quinn will play
Canada quivering at the thought of daddy Quinn coming back, so they're nit picking rules to stop his play
I think it's fine if he plays he was supposed to be in the tournament but was injuredCanada quivering at the thought of daddy Quinn coming back, so they're nit picking rules to stop his play
Don’t feed the troll...no, Canada had to do the EXACT same thing; wait until Makar went down and we were left with 5 Dmen...was that nitpicking as well??...![]()

Canadian parents so his call. He isn't the first and won't be the last to play for a different country than where he was born. You guys got Hull so the least you can do is give us Harley - I'll call that a win for the USI would complain about Harley being American than anything else...lol.
Here's Thomas Harley obeying the nitpicky rules of not being allowed to be on the ice at practice.
Does that make him Daddy Harley?
I agree but my post was to point out Canada isn’t being treated preferentially. If another US defensemen goes down then Hughes plays, which is exactly what happened with Canada. The complaints about the process are totally valid but not the ones acting like this is an inside job against the US.The rule is dumb all around. But he's watching the practice (illegally) and gaining much needed intel from his players about tactics for the game

Rules for thee but not for me when it comes to Canada
Agreed. It's not against the US. However, this draws a lot more ire because the player the US has coming in is about 3 other levels better than the guy Canada brought in. If this was Vlasic or Carlson I doubt anyone would be saying follow the rules lol..both great players but not on that level as Q is..I agree but my post was to point out Canada isn’t being treated preferentially.
