World Cup: 4 Nations Tournament - Team Finland (2025)

I think the most interesting thing about this tournament at this point is seeing the outlook on potential lines for the Olympics.

And I'd love for us to beat Sweden. Other than that, who cares what happens.

Out in the group stage means a bit more rest for guys before the NHL season resumes.

Canada replaces an injured D with Doughty. The US, if Quinn Hughes can’t go, will replace him with a really good D man. Finland and Sweden lack the depth of talent that Canada and the US have to draw from.
 
If Jalonen coached this team I could see them getting a result even with these limited defensemen but with Pennanen I don't know..
 
I would've liked to see RR play, he has had a good season and I think he would've helped the team. His loss didn't affect me as much as losing Heiskanen though.

Don't mind it this way or that. I've never held the sentiment that suiting up for the NT is a duty. It's one of the greatest honors bestowed on any athlete in any venue, but it's not a duty. While I greatly prefer watching athletes who hold that honor in high regard, I can't bear any ill will towards those who refuse it, for whatever reason.

Not even close. He has been Philadelphia's top defenseman this season next to Sandheim (and better defensively). To the point that they may keep him past the trade deadline.

He'd probably play his worst games of the season in Finland's Jersey, because the national team doesn't seem to matter that much to him. Good riddance. I can imagine him just wanting the game to be over, once the game had started and making sure to not get injured during the game (not blocking shots for example), because the result wouldn't matter that much to him.

By the way, NHL com has these games listed and the rosters are there. Something different to see, while such games are listed there compared to the ordinary regular season games. Well, in other years all-star games would be listed as well, but this feels much more out of the ordinary.
