GDT: 4-Nations Games

I think it was ok.. Its not the Stanley Cup with all its history and the grueling experience it is to win it .

They had the medals, the Song and then the cup on some display... They passed it around.. to me it was enough

I dunno about being the best, but I have some humble pie to eat pertaining to your second point.

After 3 seasons I thought MacKinnon would be an RNH type, not bad 2nd line centre. But the way he exploded has me eating crow and I'm loving every minute of it

Well, his career started pretty well with a ton of records, calder, great playoffs, etc. Then something happened. Hard to know exactly and memories fade. I remember things being pretty toxic with Roy as the coach, and the team kind of fell apart. Mackinnon was obviously part of that but he was super young as well. I looked at his Wikipedia and it says he got a sports psychologist prior to 2017-18 season which seemed to really help. You never know what someone is going through, but I'm glad he figured it out.
 
I can't believe people still haven't figured out that the more you get angry at Trump stuff, the more powerful he gets.

It's been 10 f***ing years. Just f***ing ignore him.

I'm so sad this tournament got tainted with all this politics bullshit. Can we please move on already?

All the people that said Canada was too old, wasn't skilled enough & lost faith in the team I guess were incorrect. Sens fans should be really proud of how well Senator players played in this tournament, Tkachuk was a beast, Sanderson played well & scored in the championship game & Matinpalo played well. Ullmark was okay & really the only guy they need to get going for this home stretch drive for the playoffs.

I think MacKinnon is right under McDavid.

McDavid won the Conn Smythe, last year, without his team actually winning the cup. I think his play has separated himself from every other player including MacKinnon.

Thing with Mcdavid is he doesn’t look easy to play with going back to the WJC - most talented guy in the league and with the right players he gets even better, but finding him wingers with chemistry on Team canada should be Hockey Canadas #1 priority for the men’s team.
