Going into this tournament I figured it was gonna be lame like most all-star games but I'm so glad to have been so wrong about it.

This outcome was pretty much as good as it could get as a Sens fan. Brady and Sandy each score and play their hearts out, Canada comes away with a win. League is on notice to what kind of absolute wrecking ball Brady will be come playoff time too.

Brady Takchuk pride when the Boston crowd cheered for him in the intro, the little dance they did for Sanderson when he scored.

Cale Makar I think is the best player in the NHL and made Canada tje better team, happy for Marner he stepped up huge and Matthews played well too although like the playoffs last year he played well but wasn’t noticeable, Jordan Binnington is getting a free beer from me if I see him in a restaurant also because I wouldn’t want him to start swinging on me.

Sens - Leafs playoff encounter woild be huge, Binnington should be on the Leafs.

That was as big a win as you could want for the NHL, especially in the States. It's all anyone was talking about down there for a week. That has never happened with hockey.

A win for the States, though terrible for us, would have been huge for the game down south.

That win is justice. Simple f***ing justice.

Now...I don't want to put a lot of pressure on Sandy because he's not a finished product yet, but.....I want to see that level of play here in Ottawa from him. I know he has it in him to be there - we see it a lot already in flashes - he's just got to be consistent. He's so so close.

I like how Sportsnet conveniently left Ottawa out of the picture when showing a glimpse of bars across Canada watching the game.
Likely don't have anyone in Ottawa atm.

I imagine it will still prompt kids to play in the US. The product was too good and the coverage too wide not to.

I can attest to this. People who have never spoken to me about hockey here in South Florida were buzzing about this for the past couple of days. The amount of interest and excitement it generated was nuts.

This win meant a great deal to me as a Canadian living down here. Sometimes it really is more than a game.
