So if I heard correctly the Caps were the only NHL team not represented in the tournament. Ovi would obviously still make a team Russia if there was one but not many star players beyond him. So does that mean Caps aren’t a cup contender or are there more than one way to build a cup contender?

Isn’t that yet to be determined? There are having a fine regular season, but whether they are a Cup contender is a different question. This is an honest question - do you seen them coming out of the East playoff bracket?

I’m not sure but assuming a healthy Caps team I would make them the co favorite to come out of the East with Florida.

Ok but I just see those players as a cut below. Nice players but not quite good enough for team Canada.

Amazing tournament; this should be a yearly thing. Dylan Larkin is an underrated player.

Pumped for the playoffs and Olympics.

Edit: Wayyy too much focus on Brock Nelson. It’s a tournament composed of the best players in the world; I didn’t expect much from him.
