I think he's been okay this game, much more useful than last. He's had some nice plays and then he's had some moments where it's clear he doesn't fit with his skill level. He's one of those guys that just needs one clean look and it can change everything though.
The U.S. seem to want to create offense from the point and create traffic in front, which definitely isn't Nelson's game.

Nelson being trusted a lot more tonight. He's even with most of the guys or ahead of a few in ice time.

It will be interesting to see what Monday night's lineup looks like. Maybe Brock gets some more playing time as he has played okay in his limited viewing. He's a big body, can pk, and has a shot if he can get it off in time. Nothing against Caufield because I think he is a great player but there really aren't any small players in this tournament.
I love Brock, I think he has been a good soldier and is representing the Isles. I still think he should be traded. Lastly, there is a legit argument that Tage Thompson should be in instead of Nelson.

IF US wins this I will be forever a fan of everyone on the team for stopping Canada. Even the brothers, and I never thought I'd say that. Just like I have a soft spot for the bruins who kept ending Pajama Boys seasons.

I thought Fox had the weakest game of the bunch, sans McAvoy's miscue on McDavid's goal (that's going to happen sometimes against him) and he was still solid. Slavin was a wet blanket like Pelech used to be.

Guentzel was everywhere last night.
It’s incredible how McDavid outshines everyone at the absolute highest level. And it’s amazing to me that Crosby is still right there at his age.
