Finnish D can't handle the speed of either McDavid or MacKinnon.

Binnington is ass but our D is much more stable with the Makar-Toews pairing being available.

Oilers fans are really lucky to watch McDavid night in and night out. We haven't had a talent like that since Lafleur easily.

Marchand and Cirelli are big question marks for me.

Cirelli is not a better defensive player, absolutely not a better offensive player, and not a more physical player than Suzuki. I think Suzuki in a shutdown center role or in a more versatile wing role would be a way better fit. It’s like bringing Danault because Therrien is coaching.

Marchand could be replaced by like ten guys that fill PK, net front, or physical roles. Twenty guys if it’s a scoring role. Having a young guy like Bedard or Celebrini get some experience before the Olympics could have been smart too.

It’s not as egregious as the WJC, but there are some real head scratchers here for sure.
