I said it on the main board but the Finns are the most aggravating team to play against. Same style in EVERY tournament no matter the skill level/gap and they have always make it work. The thing that hurts them is they lack the offensive dynamos of other teams. Only guys they have are Laine/Rantanen. Kakko and Poolparty being massive dissapointments hurt Finlands national team tremendously long term

Am I the only one who thinks this "Finland is at a massive talent disadvantage" is way overplayed? Yeah a little lacking on D (Heiskonen would be a big help) but that's a stacked fwd group, and a high end goalie in net.

Yes, Finland is always dangerous. They remind me a lot of the Czechs in the sense they won't have the best team on paper ever but my god will they grind your gears to hell if you're a top team

and they are used to playing together internationally so they have good coherence and they play a good familiar forechecking team style. They are good.

I think our firepower/top 6 is good enough but its our lack of dmen in the NHL thats a problem now and long term. We have ONE guy who you'd consider a star in Heiskanen. We had only 3 dman with more than 20 points last year lol. And nothing in the prospect pool either.

I agree. They have a lot of talent and they always medal. Let’s give them some more credit here
