The NHL dropped the ball on this. Nobody cares about a 4 team tournament when we aren’t getting real best on best international hockey. Stalling the NHL in the middle of a season for this garbage is ridiculous.

The 4 teams thing, is kinda meaningless.........it's one thing to do this in the middle of the season for the olympics, but not for this ...............albeit much better than the All-Star Garbage crap they have spewed the last few seasons.

Sure, the league can want that, but I wonder if it's ever come up that they're two distinct countries that amicably split, but still decided to split for a number of reasons. I'm not sure Slovaks would want that. At all.

Bob Mackenzie on TSN said that Montembeault was chosen as the 3rd string because they had to rush, but he said that the team wished they had an additional month since the outcome would have differed.

Just watching SC With Jay, and they showed a quick background clip of the PP1 break-in: Makar drops to Mackinnon who then drops to a McDavid literally skating 97 MPH lmao. McDavid still never ceases to make me shake my head in bewilderment at his abilities
