Holy Crap what a play by Crosby. I talked about unforced errors earlier I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about forced errors. That was just Awesome.
I'm biased as I never watched the Great One but I truly think Crosby is the better all around player. He doesn't so many plays that aren't captured by the score sheet. He's IQ is so high and in terms of the international stage, will be known as Canada's greatest player.

I just don't understand why we have no scoring depth. It sucks. We have a bunch of players that benefit from playing with superstars on the team, rather than pick a team's superstar players.

Honestly, Thompson should be starting in net and not just on the team. I will cheer for Canada on Thursday but there's like 4-5 guys that I feel should have a spot on this team.

I think the depth guys should be the ones most motivated to go on Thursday as it's their spots on the Olympic team that are definitely not solidified, especially after this tournament.

A little worrisome how we easily gave up goals at the end. Sure we had a comfortable lead and took the foot off the gas but solid teams won't let that happen, reminded me of some of our games during reg. season with Monty or Primeau in net.

It's crazy that 25% of the forwards group of this team is made of TB players while TB is just sitting 12th in the standing despite having Kucherov, Hedman and Vasi in the lineup.
That's the difference from team USA vs Canada. Canada picked players from the Blues and Lightning by the boatload while the other team managed it by best players available without bias to team management.

3 goals in 5 minutes on 6 shots.

So far Binnington gave 8 goals on 74 shots.

Point is good enough to be on this team, but even that is debatable. The other two are brutal because they are an anchor for the bottom six, but then you have some old timers on the ice too with Marchand and Stone, and Crosby has lost some speed too, but it's a lot of slow and no energy team.

Go back to 2010 and 2014: we didn’t score a ton of goals, even with a lot of scoring talent. It’s the way it is in international hockey at that level.

Game should have finished 4-0 or 4-1 (with a better goalie),which is pretty decent.
