It boggles my mind they expropriated the medicine wheel for their own financial gain.

Four Nations, First Nations. They're practically the same thing. I can't see the difference can you see the difference.

This is the same league that told Fleury he couldn't wear a helmet with indigeneous artwork on a night honouring Native Americans.

I think having the best goaltending has covered up the fact there are major issues in the US bottom 6 that can be exploited.

With Makar back and the Americans dealing with their own injury issues, Canada has a chance to redeem themselves.

The US has the last change which might play a big role but the top 2 lines were not going last time out and with both looking good last game, they can only throw the Matthews line at one of them.

With that roster it might be the best fit for him. If he does it well he may get an invitation to play on the Olympic team.

What a best coach on Canada inspired beauty line! We can switch up the worker bees for queen bee Marner and it will be the best! I just know it

It'll be like the first line just less minutes a goal scoring but the same just better!

Comparing Matthews to McDavid is not fair to Matthews. He’s better defensively, but he’s ever show that he’s a dominating, take charge type of player.
Marner had a huge give away against the US and there’s no time to develop trust in short do or die tournament. Coopers is a professional and won’t throw a player under the bus in the media, but he has to do what he thinks is best for the team

From what I have seen I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Can't top 6. Not a great fit for bottom 6. We have other player with more speed and some chemistry to consider. JT this year probably fit this team better then Marner

Nonsense he is a top 5 point producer in the league and you think he is not going to make team Canada. I 100% guarantee you he will . You are just showing your anti Marner bias again as usual so your opinion means nothing to me. However if you would like to place a wager on it I would be willing.

Canada builds on winning playoff style series. He is not that. He is a, and this is a big distinction... a regular season top 15 point getter.
 
Are the rules the same in the final with the game going right to 3 on 3?

I really dislike that we're starting to see this trend in the world juniors where these championship games go directly to 3 on 3 hockey to start overtime.

3 on 3 hockey is in a totally different universe of hockey game compared to 5 on 5 and it feels like an extremely cheesy way to decide a championship game.

Two things can be true. The right mix for Cooper is one where Marner doesn’t play with the elite players and sees lower ice time.

It’s evident by his ice time and usage, but if you want to ignore fact and call it logic then you do you Aristotle.

I was not really interested in this tournament before it started, but the timing was great. No other sports, plus tons of snow, made it easier to watch. I’m sure the league got what they wanted with a US/Canada final. Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint

And the "right mix" includes moving Mitch away from two of the three best centres in the league.

Maybe Berube should move him away from the other one?

Ah yes, the brilliant mind of thewave > Cooper's words.

The truth is what Cooper is saying it is, he is the one that performed the actions, you all are writing fantasy.

I guess if you guys want to apply this logic, then Marner > Nylander since Marner is higher up in the lineup and gets more playing time, but you all probably don't want to confirm that.

They started protecting a lead and load managing him? Considering Marner is the go to defensive guy you would think under the circumstances that his minutes wouldn't have dropped as much.

Marner had his minutes cut every game though so.

Game 1 was OT, you know the game where he scored to win it... the game where if he didn't and Sweden won it'd be Finland vs the US right now... that is why his TOI was higher, OT.

They rolled all the lines last game, the hoops you all are jumping through are insane.

You can literally see by the TOI and shift breakdown that Cirelli and Stone were the leaned upon guys for defensive matchups after Canada jumped out to the lead early

Marner PR crew is doing some unhealthy coping about this one.
