Jeff Skinner hasn't been on a playoff team for a reason. He's as one dimensional as it gets. And now he is slow. He has zero trade value.

trade em to the hawks for hall.

The oilers won’t win the cup until one of the prodigal sons (Hall, Eberle or Yakupov) return

Would be hilarious if he gets dumped at the deadline and doesn't make the playoffs again.

Also hilarious Jeff Jackson thought after making it to 1 game away from the Stanley cup that Jeff Skinner was a missing piece and more needed than a Holloway, broberg or Mcleod.

threads like this need to be locked and deleted.

This is no different than the Huberdeau wants out thread.... some obscure "source" that isn't remotely reliable basically making shit up and OP (same as the Huberdeau thread not coincidentally) posts it as "speculation" so the terrible thread stays unlocked

Cup favourites

Oilers xGF% at even strength is currently 3rd in the league, yet their shooting percentage is 2nd worst in the league with the talent they have, and they currently have just a 17% power play which ranks 22nd in the league. I hate the Oilers a shit ton, but I am also not naive - their profile still suggests they're a sleeping juggernaut that is going to go on a hot streak soon here.

I don't see the appeal of Skinner. A guy who doesn't play defense, or a heavy game, and doesn't score? Has to hurt that Holloway is outscoring him.

Not mocking EDM fans, more commiserating with them. After such a great year last year, how could they screw up this badly?

They also have the worst goaltending in the league which suggests long hot streaks will be difficult.

They did it last year with the worst goaltending in the league as well, they're built to be able to withstand bad goaltending - at least in the regular season

no, last year they were around the middle of the pack

this year they have literally been the worst

In the beginning of the season, they were definitely the worst because we played them multiple times and I remember Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner having by far the worst goals saved above expected combined of any team in the league. You're throwing dirt on them way too soon, seasons aren't determined in the first 18 games and nothing you've brought up would change my opinion on that - if anything, knowing that their goaltending situation that started similarly to this season ended with a final result of them being middle of the pack last year in goals saved above expected just reinforces my opinion
