It feels like 80% of the goals Fedotov gave up came in clusters but I can’t be bothered to look back at the box scores. It’s like if one gets passed him there is a good chance one or two more as well in a short span of time. I think he can be an effective goalie if he can learn to stop the bleeding. He seems to get knocked off his square too easily

We really took for granted what we had in 2010. Timonen, Pronger, Coburn, Carle. Incredible top 4.

There’s no single incident that led to this. Poor drafting, talent development, luck. It just sucks when not that long ago, this team was designed to built from the net out.

It really was a whole lot of luck. They got lucky Atlanta was desperate for playoffs and sold low on Coburn. They got lucky that their BFFs in Nashville were actually good at developing dmen, and walked away from Timonen, because they had Weber and Suter.

They couldn’t even afford to add Kimmo Timonen today. They would have to lose all of their overpaid 4th liners.

He's just a stabilizing influence for Drysdale.

They're going to give Drysdale a full shot to develop (not b/c of the trade) since he's the most physically talented D-man on the roster. And Seeler will hold his hand while they do so.

He has what a handful of games with JD? Sorry not buying he is this stabilizing influence. Way to small a sample size and honestly don't even really remember that pair doing anything special.

They have no choice but to give JD a full shot and they should. Maybe try to get someone better than Nick Legend Seeler. You severely overrate Seeler.
