Why not both? You can theoretically finish 1 game out of a playoff spot and win the lottery.

You can't however move up more than twice in 5 years. The Hawks have already done so once for Bedard, if they were to do it again this year they'd be ineligible to move up again for the next 2 drafts.

Correct, that's why I said theoretically be 1 game out (losing a bunch of tiebreakers). More realistically you probably need to finish with around 85 points or less, which would be a massive improvement from this season (currently at 54 lol)

Kane w an assist now tied w Savard and Andreychuk on all time list w 1,338 points. Next up is Malkin w 1,343 but since he is still going next after that is Sundin w 1,349. So he wont pass anyone else until next year
