The first line just absolutely sucks. We stopped the pressure for 1/2 the period, defensive lapses by Serge and Stammer, and boom. That's it. Maybe Stamkos can sit this 3rd period out. We need more speed and sharpness and he has neither. Also Paul has all but vanished this game. Just WTF.

Serg needs to be taken off PP1. His passes to Stamkos and Kuch are waaaaaaaaaaay too slow. My grandma could put more mustard on those things. Goalie and D have all the time in the world to get over.

Yup, and Stammer falling off his man leaving Matthews wide open. Why Stammer was on him in the first place is beyond me. He couldn't defend a WalMart shopper on an electric scooter the way he's playing this series.

I don't disagree that the top guys need to get us on the board, but it always seems in a game like this a guy like Braydon Coburn will play hero.

Been noticing this all season. Always felt much more comfortable with Heddy in his spot. Don’t break up what works.
 
Matthews with an unbelievable will to win. Outmatching every superstar on our team. It really is their time to move on.

Yep, just thinking of previous big goals. Cirelli gets the game winner to eliminate the Isles in 2020, Gourde gets it in Game 7 shorthanded in 2021, Paul last year against Toronto, and Maroon with the game winner to help sweep the Panthers. Would love one of the big guns to step up though.

Yeah for sure but at that point our big guys had stepped up to get us that deep in the series, they haven't been this series outside game 1. We've been heavily carried by depth. As bad as Vasy was in games 3/4, none of our stars scored in crunch time either.

Heddy was God awful this season he lost his spot for a reason, while Serg rode the PP to one of the highest assist totals by a Bolts D man all time. That said Hedman has stepped it up this playoffs and deserves another chance.
 
I always feel more confident in low event playoff games. I'm not sure if the players feel the same way.
