GDT: 4/11/25 - 7:00PM EDT - Detroit vs Tampa Bay

The defense isn't strong enough, especially with Moser just being ok since the injury. Can't have 3 or 4 out of 7 defensemen be good and the others below average.
Moser has been fine. He hasn't been as good as before the injury, but he's hardly a liability or below average. The only dmen that are a concern are Lilleberg and sometimes Perbix. Even Perbix has looked better most recently, so while I'm sure the 3rd pairing will make mistakes in the playoffs, the team should have plenty of confidence in 5 or 6 of thelr dmen. I'm not thrilled with the usual 3rd pairing combos, but since the plan is to keep Moser in the top 4 usually, they'll have those two pairings eat most of the big minutes anyway.

Can we lose you?
Post of the year tbh.

I legit fell asleep during second intermission the game was that boring to me. Woke up and watched the highlights. I get the guys probably uninspired but home ice is still on the line. I'd get not feeling up for grabbing the division... but if we are looking at Buffalo, NY and Florida as the last 3... there's a very real scenario where we end up with 2 points max given how the season has gone against these teams. That would mean losing home ice advanrage (more than likely), especially if we drop the game to Florida. That should be their motivation, not run it down to game 82...

To make things worse, I imagine MacKinnon will gut it out to try and win a Ross. I don't expect him to sit out.

I thought the one play early in the game when we were up 1-0, a beautiful play between Gourde to Bjorkstrand and Detroits goalie made a great save was one I thought if he hit that, we'd be talking about a win. Bjork just got robbed.

Those who should be ashamed after this game are the bottom five on the impact stats. The other players, as you can see, were okay to pretty good and mostly on the positive scale.

Captain Hedman...uffda
