No, you dont selectively hold individuals accountable. That is not what a leader of a team does in any industry. Quinn scratched Shattenkirk to show he isnt playing around, but will allow this play on the ice. How is that fair to Shattenkirk and how does that make sense? It's not incoherent in the slightest.

Again, how is it possible to hold all the D-Men responsible at the same time? Shattenkirk has been trash. Why should he be favored?

And if you read ANY of Quinn's interviews regarding the 'benching' you'll see a completely different story. Maybe you should go check out what he said, because it seems more like a rest/reset than a benching based on effort/ability.
