QUOTES TO NOTE:

I approached this season a little bit differently. I was a little more angry.
Just because I’m 30 doesn’t mean I can’t play. I’m looking to put all that talk behind me.
- Marc Staal

This is how we have to play you have to do every little thing right.
It's such a big difference to play in a game where everyone knows what's happening out there.
- Henrik Lundqvist

He hadn't played much the last couple games and didn't play the last game.
When talking with Gorton yesterday, we felt he needed to play.
The best thing for him right now is to go and play a couple games in Hartford.
- Alain Vigneault

Drink every time offda pines about McIlrath and Tarasenko or complains about Nash

LGR!

I would personally prefer to see Zuke-Miller-Vesey on the second line. At the very least Nash on the third line breaks up the horror show of Hayes and Miller. Another strong game from Hank and I think it's an easy W. LGR!

If I didn't know the coach better it'd be clear to me that the 3rd paring and the two healthy scratches were misplaced by loffen.

Other than Lundqvist going god mode a couple years ago, have we ever started off well with AV??
Really makes me wonder if his preseason/training camp is a waste of time

AV doesn't seem to like Smith, given his press conference today. I wonder how on board he was for that signing. Seems like a Gorton decision.

Who among you are responsible for the Holden-is-bad narrative?

I get complaining that ADA/Smith are out for Kampfer, but complaining that Holden is in is a bit uncalled for. Frankly the only thing separating Smith from Holden last season in terms of performance was the last 20 games, otherwise they were pretty damn similar with a possible edge to Holden, based on DRW fan reviews.

Hayes - Zucc practice together this morning so that will be our lines the first 20 minutes at least before a new rotation, and it depends on the result and if we are producing or not.
