The Lindgren goal was an abomination. The rebound that led to one of the Hughes goals was terrible. Some of the penalties we take are boneheaded. But I thought we outplayed both teams overall. Not that it matters: in the end it’s about converting on chances. We didn’t do that. So I agree with you in that sense as well.

I think you are right. I think the decision making in overtime highlights our stupidity.

We really slowed down after the Kakko goal.

DeAngelo is actually great in the shootout, he’s got better hands than most of the team. Don’t know why more people don’t realize that.

WE hit what, 4 posts? Penguins scored a goal on a deflection (ok), one off of a ranger putting into his own net and then got a fortunate bounce off the boards.

Strome sucks but a bigger issue is scratching Smith and keeping JJ in the lineup. Quinn seems to have very little feel for who is actually playing well.

The only way I would ever want PLD is if Strome is going the other way (obviously in a package). We unfortunately are stuck with JJ who is never gonna play himself out of the lineup

With all the talk he got he has major expectations. I think some fans gave him unrealistic expectations.

He wasn't the reason they lost, but he also didn't steal the game. If he is supposed to be a top-5 goaltender in the NHL, he needs to steal games.

I agree, Letang and Guentzel had awesome moves in that shootout.

How was he supposed to stop a perfect deflection, his D-man putting one in to his own net, and a freak bounce off the boards? I guess he could have done better in the shootout.
