Strangely have a better feeling about this one than I did going into the previous three games. Please prove me right. Laf with his first tonight.

Excited to see that new top line.

Still think Kakko or Buch should be on PP1 over Strome, but what do I know, I’m not a NHL head coach like Quinn.
Would like to see KK down low for size, as he looks stronger than he did last year, or by the circle, sneaking into the slot for a tap in. He can be elusive — and, he wants to play that floating kind of game, a PP is the best opportunity to prove that he can.

Anyone else notice parallels in playing styles? Even if he doesn’t turn out to be a 1,000-point scorer (which was that I was expecting when KK was drafting), it’s a deadly style, assuming KK develops some finishing ability.

I remember seeing a couple of Hossa comparisons during his draft year. Has a long way to go though
Size and style are there. The shot needs work. The two-way game **definitely** needs work. Hoss did have a major advantage of being born into a hockey family: his dad was the head coach of the Slovakian national team at least in the SLC olympics.

I just want a steady 30-40 goal scorer who can use his speed and strength to create space for himself. I’m not asking for backchecker and penalty-killer extraordinaire. Just give me the offense.

Hoss also had a mediocre rookie season: 30 points if memory serves me right, and that was with Yashin centering him. I’m trying to be positive on Kakko. He has all the tools. Either develop him (fire Quinn) or trade him for PLD. Don’t let his value decay and have him turn into an ordinary 20-goal scorer.

Strome 22 minutes tonight, pointless, even, no shots, no hits, no blocks, just floating like a butterfly and stinging like a feather!

I hope he misses practice or a team meeting in the future and gets scratched. at least someone more useful and deserving would get his ice time.

It's been 10 years since I joined HF.

Actually, it was yesterday but we didn't play yesterday, so I'm officially recognizing it today.

Would be nice to win.
This made me check my join date and its 11yrs today! So thanks for that. Also yes, it would be nice for a win in recognizing your 10yrs. Since I never would’ve checked without this post. Kudos.

50/50 on my feelings going into this one.

Rangers don’t do well with a long break between games. But something has to give because we have too much talent to not be able to score against Pittsburgh’s D/goaltending.

Same time, it’s Pittsburgh. Crosby could have a 5 point night since it’s against us. Nothing would surprise me.

How have I been here for more than 12 years already?
