I know that Columbus will most likely pick a C, but again, even if they said that before the draft, maybe they don't going that aswell. They easily can pick a winger too.

For Benson, I truly believe that he will become a star type of player, Caufield goes to 15 in 2019, right now he is easily a top 5 pick. Benson is more complete than Caufield, less skating and less scoring touch but Benson have amazing qualities, the best hockey IQ after Bedard in 2023 draft. The best playmaker in junior since McDavid. He is going to surprise a lot of people.

You (among others) know your prospects so I can't argue one way or the other since I don't follow nearly as closely, I was just surprised to see Benson at 3 is all. And you're right, teams say a lot of things pre-combine and interviews so who knows which direction Columbus will go...doesn't need to be a center.

So I'm assuming he's your #1 pick at 5 for the habs, who's your #2?

I mean, Benson is most likely a top 10 pick at least so who knows.

It's not like 2018 when someone tried to draft Ryan McLeod at 3.

Yikes lol. Hope that one was vetoed

I'm 100% team Smith, Michkov, Leonard or Benson for Habs. I don't take Reinbacher at 5.

Leonard is close to Benson in my mind, I would be very happy with him. Benson and Leonard are amazing and worth a top 5 selection in that draft IMO. They have both 1st line potential and they are very underrated. Big fan of both, they combine high offensive talent + hard working in their game. Star potential is there in both.

You're 100% for 4 different players? Doesn't sound very 100% to me.

It was. And that person is not on the board anymore.

This is basically how I see it. But if they take Reinbacher or Dvorsky I won't be mad, just curious to see how he does. They have more information than I do.

The Washington Capitals are proud to select Larry Keenan from Culver in the USHS.

We're swinging for the fences with this one. Big, smooth-skating offensive defenseman with a cannon from the blueline that's gone under the radar because he's in a lesser-known hockey program. Just has to work on the defensive side of the game a little bit, but that can be taught.

That's a good looking draft! Stenberg is an absolute steal at 31. Can't believe so many passed on him in the 20s

My apologies, had an electrical fire at work today that sent the entire hospital into chaos.

Lipinski would have been my pick anyways, had Kantserov and Lipinski as my next two in line and Kantserov was picked just before my pick.
Yeah adding a big C who plays physical is something we need and is never a luxury. Would be really happy with that pick (and most of your pick)
