They're exactly what you're looking for, 3C and mid6 W. Few more millions won't hurt Sharks at this pointRead post 1. We are not looking for your cap dumps.
Id offer one or more of Zacha Tatar Johnson for Riemer. Depends on who you want but could add a pick if you take someone like Tatar... please?Delightful. Will do. You too. You made an awful offer that couldn’t even fit within the thread. We don’t want your cap dumps.
I might be interested in Zacha and/or Johnsson but I don’t think we could afford them without sending cap back. Would you be interested in something around Zacha and Labanc?
It will. We don’t want your cap dumps. They're exactly what you're looking for, 3C and mid6 W. Few more millions won't hurt Sharks at this point
Id probably do something around Zacha for Reimer as long as they could get him to sign a similar contract to his last one.Id offer one or more of Zacha Tatar Johnson for Riemer. Depends on who you want but could add a pick if you take someone like Tatar... please?
Zacha for Reimer could make sense as a base of a trade. Maybe small adds either way but its a conversation to have.Id offer one or more of Zacha Tatar Johnson for Riemer. Depends on who you want but could add a pick if you take someone like Tatar... please?
Cap dumps don't score Game 6 OT goals against the defending Cup winner or score at a higher clip in the playoffs than the regular seasonDelightful. Will do. You too. You made an awful offer that couldn’t even fit within the thread. We don’t want your cap dumps.

This isn’t a hockey trade. This is an attempt at fleecing. Hertl is a top line C and as you said Pageau is a 3C and Beauvillier is a middle 6 winger. Both are cap dumps at this point. Your offer was bad. Bye.Cap dumps don't score Game 6 OT goals against the defending Cup winner or score at a higher clip in the playoffs than the regular season
The best 3C's in the league (and you are kidding yourself if you don't think Pageau is that) that score IN THE PLAYOFFS like he does, is not a Cap dump. 23 goals in 76 playoff games (19 of them in his last 60 games), as a premier PKer, PP contributer, faceoff winner and a +28 in those 76 games, is not a package a sub .500 team for three years should be trashing.
You wanted a 3C and a Top/Middle 6 winger and I gave you a salary neutral offer of two players that were KEY COGS in TWO ECF finals and you treat them like your garbage defensemen contracts as Cap dumps.
And Coe hasn't done a thing yet in the NHL and you think he's worth EITHER of them by himself?
This is a HOCKEY TRADE offer. We need to readjust our forwards towards more goal scoring and away from assists and Pageau (who played a Top 6 role for the Ottawa team that last made a playoff run successfully) is a trade from a position of strength from the Isles, not a Cap Dump. Take out Coe, he won't move the needle anyhow. Beauvillier is a perfect 2nd/3rd tweener at only 24 years old, how you call him a cap dump when you look at what Lebanc produced for $600K more is absurd versus AB's numbers.
Zacha and Johnson for Riemer and Leblanc
Cap dumps . . . good thing you aren't a GMThis isn’t a hockey trade. This is an attempt at fleecing. Hertl is a top line C and as you said Pageau is a 3C and Beauvillier is a middle 6 winger. Both are cap dumps at this point. Your offer was bad. Bye.
Why would we trade our 1C for a 3C and middle 6 winger? My god man.Cap dumps . . . good thing you aren't a GM
Your OP ASKED for a 3C and a Middle 6 winger, what the heck do you think is out there for the team that pays Labanc nearly $5 million for less production than Beauvillier? I gave you a 2C/3C as proven by his production, at $5 million a year with a pedigree. I give you a $4.315 million 24-year old with a pedigree and you keep insisting these are cap dumps?
What would you call Karlsson? The worst contract in NHL history? Or a valued member of a sub .500 three year run?
While Pageau and Beauvillier are not cap dumps, it's still a terrible trade for San Jose to make. Pageau is a year older, and significant downgrade skillwise than Hertl. Adding a 3C, and a 2/3W would be nice....but when you consider we then need to find a 1C (much harder to find) and lose out on a good looking prospect and a 2nd round pick it makes no sense for San Jose at all.Cap dumps don't score Game 6 OT goals against the defending Cup winner or score at a higher clip in the playoffs than the regular season

I think there’s also a chance they can use the goalie to get a winger. I don’t think the goalie movement and bringing in a forward is mutually exclusive.I can't imagine that the Sharks are all that interested in acquiring a 3C. They have liked what they've seen in Thomas Bordeleau and that's his spot to lose with Bonino still in the fold to fill in when needed even though he sucks. The winger situation is a little less certain. Meier and Barabanov are pretty much locked in as two of the four top six wingers. Beyond that, who knows with Eklund, Dahlen, Balcers, Labanc, Gregor, Bonino, and a bunch of prospects turning pro. Until the Sharks know who is coming in as GM and what they're actually going to do, who the hell knows what this team will do? A team trying to compete like they've been saying will probably clear cap by buying out or trading Hill or Reimer, Labanc, Simek, and Vlasic. Worst case scenario is buying out all but the goalie they look to move and that would free up about 10.2 mil to spend on re-signing Ferraro, Kahkonen, Gregor, Dahlen, and other fringe level players that won't cost much. Chances are if the Sharks want to add a middle six winger, they will have to move someone like Dahlen, Gregor, Leonard, Balcers, and any number of their forward prospects coming up.
For whatever reason the Sharks are trying to compete. The team had huge struggles though offensively. Bringing in a couple new forwards to help compete with the younger guys could be a good way to kickstart that. Basically a couple guys around Barabanov level.
We aren’t looking for your cap dumps by the way.
Maybe there’s a deal with Detroit who seems to need a backup pretty bad around Reimer and Suter/Veleno with various pluses.
Any other ideas? Trying to look for guys who could potentially be available to fill these.
I’d be interested in Blueger but not so much in Carter. Maybe Balcers or Labanc for Blueger?Teddy Blueger in Pittsburgh is a very capable 3C at 2 mil cap hit. Young, defense-first, decent shot, above average on the draw.
Carter is in that spot for us so he's had to hover at 4C and split time with Boyle. He's more of a 3C.
Could be had for a 2nd pretty readily.
Yes please. Very interested in both.Strome and Kubalik
Might not be but we'll see. It's tough to get a real read on what Joe Will wants to do and/or what the new GM will want to do. The talks about Burns and Karlsson being talked about could also be what gets them a winger. Typically, a winger can be had any number of ways as there's always a quantity of them available. It's just a matter of who will fit and for what? In the Sharks situation, they don't necessarily even need to go out and get a winger since they have a lot that they could try next season. There's too much up in the air right now to have much certainty about movement right now.I think there’s also a chance they can use the goalie to get a winger. I don’t think the goalie movement and bringing in a forward is mutually exclusive.

Yep agreed. Our PK is already pretty good but I like the winning face off aspect and I think he’d be a good fit with some of our wingers. I figured offering a player cause as you said he was underutilized and didn’t really impress in the playoffs. I wouldn’t offer much more than a 3rd for him pick wise but would be interested in Balcers or Labanc for him.Oh yeah what I was saying is Carter is in that spot for us - therefore Blueger is available.
Personally I'd just want the pic /cap space for Teddy...but player deals would be welcomed for sure.
He's underutilized at 4C. Dudes a stud on the PK but I don't think we should be paying that price on our fourth line and he's not exactly impressed anyone in the playoffs lately. Like I said a pic would do it. You wouldn't be disappointed. He's a good player.
As much as I’d love Garland, that’s probably shooting too high for us and Dickinson isn’t of interest. He’s not better than what they roll out on their fourth line.Garland and Dickenson for 11th?\
*Contingent on Van signing Kuzmenko
Don't think the Sharks would have much interest in Dickinson unless Simek is going the other way. I think Garland straight for the 11th pick is probably fair value which I would consider but adding Dickinson into that equation is not a good add for the Sharks.Garland and Dickenson for 11th?\

Sure they might be willing to dealI’d be interested in Blueger but not so much in Carter. Maybe Balcers or Labanc for Blueger?
