For whatever reason the Sharks are trying to compete. The team had huge struggles though offensively. Bringing in a couple new forwards to help compete with the younger guys could be a good way to kickstart that. Basically a couple guys around Barabanov level.

We aren’t looking for your cap dumps by the way.

Maybe there’s a deal with Detroit who seems to need a backup pretty bad around Reimer and Suter/Veleno with various pluses.

Any other ideas? Trying to look for guys who could potentially be available to fill these.

How about looking in to seeing if were on Dadonov's do not want list
Vegas will probably look to move him....again

Faska is someone I'd look into as well

i dont know how you will be able to clear cap to take on anyone? Your high priced forwards you will not want to move and nobody will take the defenseman.

Def don’t see Detroit giving up assets at their weakest position (center) for a backup goalie when they can just sign a UFA.

Any interest in Dvorak? He can play 3C or 2C if needed.

What about Dvorak + Calgary’s 1st + 3rd for the Shark’s 11th overall?
If the Sharks prospect pool was slightly better, I’d definitely consider it. I love Dvorak. I think I’d be looking for someone a little more offensively inclined though.

Agreed on both depending on prices. I’d require a 2nd back for Dadanov and would give about a 3rd+5th for Faksa

Sorry but what are you/could you possibly offer other teams...

Like name some assets you're willing to part with.
I’d part with anything for the right price. It’s a 3C and a middle 6 winger though so 1st, Timo, Hertl, Eklund, Bordeleau off limits. I mean it’s pretty self explanatory without an asset list.

you basically have nothing to give up to get. San Jose does not have much cap space to take on p,Ayers

They have a ton to give up. They aren’t asking for McDavid.
Luke Kunin? Maybe Tolvanen if the price is high enough?
I’d love Luke Kunin. What would be the price?

Pageau, Bolduc and Beauvillier for Hertl, Coe and a 2023 2nd
That’s f***ing garbage. I wouldnt give up Coe and a 2nd for that package, never mind adding Hertl.

At least there was 2018.

Something around Lars Eller for Reimer? Contracts are pretty much a wash and both are UFAs after next season. Washington needs a veteran to be 1A/1B with Samsonov and McMichael needs a permanent center slot.

Adding 3c and mid 6 wing would be only negative for the Sharks. However, take Zucker and Carter!

Struggling young forward/defenseman with potential.
Dahlen?

I’d probably do it. I’d prefer someone a bit younger but it’s definitely something I could get behind.
Given the cap situation in San Jose, they dont appear to have much cap room to take on a $4M+ salary. For such a player---what does San Jose have to even send back? I am not seeing it
Wonderful. We do so it doesn’t matter.

That f***ing garbage got to the ECF Finals two years in a row.

Call me back when you break .500 . . . hasn't happened since 2018-19 with your 'better talent'

Enjoy the declining years of those contracts!

Delightful. Will do. You too. You made an awful offer that couldn’t even fit within the thread. We don’t want your cap dumps.
Andreas Johnsson
Pavel Zacha
Tomas Tatar

take any of them for like a 2nd or 3rd and they are yours
I might be interested in Zacha and/or Johnsson but I don’t think we could afford them without sending cap back. Would you be interested in something around Zacha and Labanc?
