Here's a nice pessimistic trivia quiz...

NYR are not far off the pace from having not a single 20 goal scorer over an 82 game season, what was the last time in a non lockout shortened year that a team finished without a single 20 goal scorer?

08-09 Islanders?

“@stevezipay: #NYR Appears Cam Talbot will start B2B vs Leafs tonight at MSG. Only Lundqvist on ice taking shots from Marc Staal, Taylor Pyatt. Stay tuned”

Wow...

yeah last night's quote by AV was kinda telling: "I know who I'm starting, I just haven't told the goalies yet."

Talbot=Cory Schneider

So do we trade Talbot during the draft for the 9th overall pick? :naughty:

It was such a relief to finally win last night. I think it would feel much better if we were 500 going in to Xmas so please win tonight.

I said at the start of the homestand that anything less than 12 points would be a fail. They have a chance to get 8 points. Fail.

They beat Buffalo in Buffalo and they are up by 2 goals against the Devils and that horrible Janssens goal occurs. Since then it's trended all downhill. Nice win last night, but they'll only have a chance to go 3-4-2 and get 8 out of a possible 18 points during the longest homestand of the year. And thats IF they win. Disgusting.

2-5-2 would put the icing on the cake for this homestand. I would hate to see that, especially for the fans who are going tonight but you can almost see it being a fitting end to this stretch.
Agreed homestand is a total failure

Nash is being fed too much kielbasa. Slow, heavy footed, not as strong as he should be.

He needs a diet and a rigorous fitness program. Needs to be faster, lighter on his feet, stronger.

1966?

Kielbasa is a core component of every great fitness program.

I tried using it for mine a couple years back. I saw the results I wanted (gained 15 pounds) but unexplainably I was winded much more quickly than before.

Over rated.

Is it just me or is Nash starting to look like Private Pyle?

“@stevezipay: Lundqvist confirms he won't play tonight. Neck still a little stiff but not surprised Talbot is in. 'We had a big win and its about winning"”

Whatever might be taking Henrik off his game, the Christmas holidays, week of rest, and time to practice and watch his game on tape should help him sort some things out.
