I'm buckling up now. Fearing losses tonight and in Toronto tomorrow (which would make for losses in 6 of 7) continues to snowball into the western Canada trip, making for an icy January slate.

With that said, gutty 3-2 victory tonight.

I cannot believe this coach’s conclusion to fixing the powerplay was to put Strome Back on Pp1. The too many righties issue in the first place. Why is it so hard to put a lefty on the right wall?!?! He’s lost. I seriously am leaning to firing this guy

I just saw that too, it's unreal. Oh yes, the PP isn't working - let's fix it by going back to another formation that wasn't working!

The PP was working fine when it was running through Panarin on the left circle while Mika was out. Then they had to galaxy brain it and move Panarin around to accommodate Mika and Strome of all people. And the struggles began there when they started moving Panarin around.

Zibanejad can be in the slot, Kreider net front, Kakko right circle, Panarin left circle and Tony D at the top.

Having 4 RH shots on one unit and not having a one time option on both circles is immensely stupid. The D can cheat a little bit off that side bc they know he can't one time it. So, so, so stupid.
