If I got a LOT of money for it I would watch this again just to count how many dumb decisions Clarkson made during his hallucinating 21 plus minutes out there today.

I'm looking at the remaining 12 games and I'm really having a hard time seeing where we pick up some wins. Philly maybe? The Buffalo game? Our schedule is a ****ing death march

2-7-3 or 2-8-2. Call me a pessimist but I just can't see any good coming out of this. They'll have to hold off the Caps, Hurricanes, Islanders and Rangers and all they have are 2 games against the Rangers, both in the garden, mind you. If they do find a way to make it, they will most definitely deserved it because **** is about to get mad real.

This is why I and others have been ranting and raving about all these points dropped to bad teams. Eventually you pay the piper. They have no shot in hell of beating Boston. None, and that's two losses off the bat. Probably have no shot of beating the Leafs either, they'll likely put up a three-spot on us before the end of the first period Saturday with their high-octane offense.

Four regulation wins in twenty-one games. Just please don't trade any more assets, unless we're flipping an Urbom for a younger forward, or dealing off one of our 9223435 NHL defensemen and ending this stupid merry-go-round once and for all.

The key is winning the two games we play against the Leafs.

Yeah those two are especially important games. I just have no confidence they can do it. 2 wins against the leafs would be asking this team to equal half the amount of regulation wins they've managed in nearly two months.

This really sucks. I was forecasting this for a while, but now that it's truly here, well it blows. This season has basically nearly slipped away.

I'm hoping for Islanders to choke. That's my biggest hope.

With regards to Sykora, that was just arrogance on Lou's part. Yeah he's not a grinder who would work the cycle down low but now we are stuck with a ****ing parking lot full of grinders and nothing really comes out of it. Talent is kind of good to have sometimes too.

After I saw Clarkson pass up a wide ****ing open shot in the 2nd period, I jumped on board the "Trade Clarkson" train.

the devils always struggle with the leafs, even without the added pressure.
Imagine if they really trade for Lulongopads. Man we're really ****ed cause he'll perform a 48 save shutout on this bunch.

It was arrogance. Especially with washed up Darche in training camp.

I've been right there with those of you ranting to the point that I've been called negative and spoiled in the process :( Seriously though, I'm usually too optimistic for my own good but I just couldn't understand the faith that some had in this team. It made no sense to me with all the signs the team was showing us. This group has been showing signs of the wheels coming off for the longest time. It's only now that they're right on the bubble with a tough ass schedule looming, that reality is starting to set in. This **** is no fun at all, that's all I know.

Clarkson passing up an open shot? That's bizarro world. Far more normal is when he had a wide open guy in front in the third period (think it was Bernier) and threw up one of his back-foot floaters from the faceoff circle instead of passing the puck for what would have been a layup chance in close.

that's another issue. no playoffs= losing a lot of what they gained last season.

but hey boston is next. maybe the devils will finally beat them after 2 years.
Boston is going to throttle this lifeless team on Thursday.

unfortunately, that's probably true.

but it has really been almost 2 years since they have beaten the bruins. it was april 11th something like that of 2011

Yeah, the last game of the 2011 season. Zharkov and Urbom both scored and it was Henrique's first game in the NHL. Nordique Nation was bummed Marty wasn't playing

I start getting worried and disgusted at this team at the presidents day loss to Ottawa. I saw many troubling things that day and they have carried on since.

I just got back from the game. Still shocked how spoiled some of our fans are, thinking this offensively challenged squad was going to cut up the islanders like a jigsaw. I think they are in for a rude awakening. Not much in the cavalry in terms of top six salvation in the near future. Skilled, dynamic forwards are an organizational blackhole. I'm all for keeping some core pieces and the CBGB line and just blowing it up from there, assuming a desperate GM is willing to negotiate.

Yeah, they were starting to slip around that time for sure, but I didn't sweat the Ottawa loss all that much because I felt that Ottawa had at least played a pretty solid road game. They were good that afternoon and the Devils paid for it. But the Devils have managed to do nothing but lose to utter garbage since then. The back to back losses to the Jets are where my line is drawn. That's when I felt they officially stunk. I could not believe that they managed to blow 4 points to a Jets team that barely showed up to play. I'm still beside myself over those losses.

With Kovy out its devoid of a dangerous threat to score.

The Isles loss last time is when we really blew things up. That Tavares hat trick 5-1 loss.
