Barzal is playing at a PPG pace as a rookie who still has loads of room to improve. It's not like he's a 25-year old guy who is what he will be. He's 20, and like any 20-year old, the expectation is still for him to improve. Don't get me wrong, I think both Lias and Chytil and great prospects, but if either of them has a PPG rookie season (or perhaps in Lias' case, like 0.5PPG getting shutdown minutes?), then they will have greatly exceeded what we hope from them.

As much as NJ and NYR are rivals, and it is an insanely close playoff race..

I need you guys to STOMP the Leafs out. My most hated team and fan base in all of sports. I cannot stand them, only player I like is Matthews and it is purely because someone that talented is hard not to like (I used to hate Crosby and now he's my second favorite player behind Hall).

On top of that Ill be sporting a nice Rangers avatar for a few months as I lost a bet saying NJ would move Zacha before January 2nd (still time but it wont happen).

DESTROY THOSE LEAFS

If you like Taylor Hall you would like me as well. I'm tied with Taylor in career playoff points :D

You are speaking wisely. You sound more like a real GM would think. On these boards young equals unlimited potential. So nobody wants to trade a potential superstar for a 65 point scorer. Its kind of crazy. Like somebody refusing to trade a unscratched lottery ticket for a $10 winner because the unscratched one might be a $100,ooo winner.

Sadly, that's the equivalent of an NFL team having two quarterbacks. In other words they have none.
I respectfully disagree because even Penguins fans have argued who is better Crosby or Malkin. Islanders fans argued who was better, Trotts, Bossy, or Potvin. Maybe if we had narrowed it down to just the goalie position it would be a more apples to apples analogy to the QB line. (Richter or Beezer?) By the way even the QB line is sometimes a fallacy. Case in point is SF who had both their QBs in a QB debate (Montana and Young) end up in the Hall Of Fame. :)

Crosby is better than Malkin.

To me, Trots and Potvin were a hair more important than Bossy. To me.

Your argument is splitting hairs between HOFers.

Lundqvist is the only Ranger heading to the Hall. There are no superstar forwards or dmen here.

Montana and Young might be the exception to the rule, but even in that case, Montana was already great when Young came along towards the end of Montana's career. Young came to SF when Montana had already been there 10 seasons.

Honestly, I used to go crazy about Torts putting Girardi on the PP. It seems like 90% of AV's personnel decisions is that stupid.

AV never changes the system, just changes the lines after they play poorly. Maybe they can't change the system mid-season, but try.

So I moved to Florida a few months ago and bought NHL.tv. It's been great outside of NHLN being a "nationally televised program" which is BS because you have to pay extra for that channel on your cable. Are we on this channel THAT much? I've already been blacked out so many times.
