QUOTES TO NOTE:

We battled at times, but we've got to be better in a game like this where it's an important game.
They're a team that's right ahead of us. We need to take a good look in the mirror because we have to be better in the next game.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We’re all pretty upset with the result.
Happy that Hank got us a point, but I think we all feel that we have something to redeem ourselves for.
- Kevin Shattenkirk

We just didn't play well.
No system in the world can defend the amount of turnovers we for 40 minutes, and it started with the first shift of the game.
- Alain Vigneault

I'm probably most interested in seeing how Miller comes out tonight. He's always more of a subtly positive guy on whatever line he's on, but the expectation tonight has to be that he will be the driving force.

I think AV said JT will play wing but that those lines are not actually set yet.

I would make Grabs-JT-Zooks or Vesey-JT-Zooks our third line.

I don't know about 'best player', but he's definitely a very good middle sixer for us. Vesey in the top 9 over Miller is just wrong.

Regardless, if they come out with the same effort as they did against NJ, then we could ice a team of 12 Gretzky's and 6 Orr's, and our fate will still hang on Hank.

Honestly, I'll throw a parade when the moron behind the bench gets canned. Why did he demote Miller to the 4th line? Why is Vesey on the 3rd line? What is he thinking? The guy is dumb as a rock.

Vesey prefers to play the LW
JT prefers to play the RW

This is true. Best to save the freak outs until we see the lines at game time. I like that first option for a third line.
I do as well but I think AV wants to get JT back on wing. I know JT prefers the RW but I would be okay with JT-Hayes-Zooks as our 3rd line. Or we could go Nash-DD-JT and then Grabs-Hayes-Zooks.

Watching the Isles today was depressing.

Is there a Ranger you wouldn't swap even-up for Barzal?

As of this moment, Chytil and probably Lias. Not because they're better but because I wouldn't trade them without knowing more.

In other words, not one current Ranger.

I'd trade Lias in a heartbeat for him.

Chytil, I'd think for a little while before doing the swap.

As much as NJ and NYR are rivals, and it is an insanely close playoff race..

I need you guys to STOMP the Leafs out. My most hated team and fan base in all of sports. I cannot stand them, only player I like is Matthews and it is purely because someone that talented is hard not to like (I used to hate Crosby and now he's my second favorite player behind Hall).

On top of that Ill be sporting a nice Rangers avatar for a few months as I lost a bet saying NJ would move Zacha before January 2nd (still time but it wont happen).

DESTROY THOSE LEAFS

I mean, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I'm not saying I'd never trade either one for him. All I'm saying is I want to see them beyond their post-draft year to make that decision.

Yeah, there's no doubt that either one of both could turn out better than Barzal. All three are young guys. Only one has practically established himself as an impact NHLer though, and that's enough of a tie break for me! I hear ya though.

Yes, but through no fault of Chytil or Lias. It's not how Tarasenko was a super star while we were still reading about the "great strides" that Dylan McIlrath was making in his skating in his 5th year in Hartford and he was now getting beaten by AHL 4th liners only every other game.
