Guarantee Torts tells them "don't respond to any hits" so they don't nullify any power plays. It's a great strategy considering how lethal our PP is. :shakehead

not all dirty hits are called. sometimes the players have to stick up for themselves and their team.. i wish the Rangers had that.. Asham was brought in for that :help:

where the heck is this Taylor Pyatt

Yeah you're right best way to treat your 3rd leading scorer on a team that can't score is to put him on the 4th line.

Because his 2 goals in the last 20 games really earned him those top minutes.

:sarcasm:

He's lucky he's not watching from the pressbox....

And yet Boyle and Miller still get upwards of 15 mins a night in a top 9 role and PP time on a team that can't score.

I bolded the last part for emphasis.

I don't even mind that Boyle is playing. He should be as he is good defensively and on the PK. Miller, on the other hand, doesn't put up points, and does dumb dangles in the middle of the ice leading to awful turnovers almost every other shift. He obviously needs to be in the minors right now. No idea what he is still doing up.

All thus losing is tearing us apart!

I feel like a kid whose parents are going through a divorce that can't choose a side !!

I blame Engelland

i wish the Rangers had a tough dman like that... cant wait for McIlrath to get here. but for some reason the pressure of being the only tough guy may not be good for a player only 20 years old :help: Rangers have no one to be a mentor to him on this Rangers team.... can the Rangers call up Jeff Beukeboom for a few :help: i wish the Rangers would show emotion. at least if they kept losing and showed some heart it wouldnt hurt as much.

yeah losing would be great as long as we beat up the other team!!!

please. i want to win.. couldn't careless about the youtubes of fights and other bull

It's not even the losing. We are currently in a playoff position. Islanders are behind us and their fans are over the moon right now.

It's the fact that a team with this potent of a lineup can be dead last in the NHL in scoring. DEAD LAST.

Every game I hope for that offensive explosion and for it to continue. There are spurts but eventually it reverts back to 0 offense. Something has to change.

i want NYR to win too but if they lose at least show that they care... not sticking up for their teammates and turning the other cheek proves that they dont care.. no one stuck up for McDonagh or Richards.... its pathetic...i hate soft teams....

D-Mac is probably my favorite prospect right now, and the last time I was this excited over a prospect was when we drafted Cherepanov. But I agree, we need some toughness on this team. I miss having Prust, Rupp, and Bickel playing every night .

If we end up falling out of playoff contention, I'd call up McIlrath for the last 4-5 games just to get his feet wet and see what he can do. To say I'd be disappointed if he doesn't make the team in September would be an understatement.

Say we end up down 7-0 with 3 minutes left in the game, and Nash was injured on a cheap hit that went uncalled and unpunished, you wouldn't want proper retribution?

It legitimately hurts me to see people with this kind of mindset. When players don't stick up for each other, they can't trust each other. That's why we were so good last year. They had each other's backs.

I would, but it wouldn't make me feel even a little bit better about the state of the team.

We would good last year because our top players were playing like top players, Hank had the best season of his career and a lot of things went our way in terms of luck.

Zucs and Kreider with hat-tricks but the Rangers lose 7-6 when Gabby scores 7 on his own net .......oh and Boyle is useless again !!

At least the fights would be entertaining. This team is so boring
