Yeah for now that Lias pick at #7 doesn't look too great but like you said, it was pretty much a 5-6 player draft that year and Gorton it looks like reached in Lias tho he certainly made up with it with the Chytil pick. So all in all a wash in that 2017 first round for us.

Check that...we also got Miller with the 27th or 28th pick...so 2 out of 3 aint bad said Meatloaf....lol

Yeah really. Lias may still work out though plenty of high picks flame out. But Chytil at 21 is a master stroke, the kind of move that sets a franchise up. And it’s why Gorton is our GM. Ironically, best thing Sather did for us was to make Gorton GM.
