I would think its obvious that the numbers you cite aren't created equal.....and a shot has twice the chance of beating Hank than Georgie?

Tell me....from the numbers you cite, has one goalie faced a lot more shots than the other? Did one goalie play against teams that are higher PP performers than the other.....or is every shot taken by every team equal? Cause you make a very ridiculous point of the chances of each PP shot vs both goalies.

Stop the overreactions....its just silly.

WHAT?! No one on here expected playoffs or being a contender this year. This team is already miles more entertaining than the last two years, 09-10, and 12-13 before the Gaborik trade.

The expectations this year were make progress and develop. Get them close to a Wild Card. It's about on course for what we all expected.

The Yak still needs to be sent down. When he's healthy, send him down and call up Yegor who's doing well for himself in Hartford. It's time Staal sits for more games than not, at this point of his career.

Expectations and where they are to team success vs. in their careers. Georgie gets a lot more leeway because he's young.

It may be a bit excessive, but that’s because he hasn’t been very good all season, and some people’s patience is wearing thin. Whereas Georgiev has a lot of good performances to make up for his bad ones.

Also, the types of goals allowed made a difference.

Our defense so jittery with the puck...when they have time they rush the pass...no time they give it away....not sure if there is any kind of system back there or not or just wing it . It is a MESS . Plus having a goalie that cannot handle the puck after how many seasons in pro hockey ?

Staal should be what Ron Greschner was to the Rangers in the late 80s. Play about 50 games a year but sit for long periods at a time.

Because of Panarin. Nothing else about this team is on course.

I don’t get the hate. He Saved 39 out of 42 for like a .930 Sv pct. He’ll admit the game was mostly on him but was it really?

This is kinda true. Secondary scoring has disappeared. We get almost no fourth line scoring. Remember when the fourth line can chip in a few here and there? And the posture in our own zone is worse than that of old Rose from Titanic.

This team is pacing 20 pts above last year did we even have as many ROWs all of last year that we do to this point this season? So no this team is not that bad.

but this rotating goalie crap is not gonna fly if we seriously want to run for the playoffs

the two goals against in LA were embarrassing and we lost flat out because their goalie was better.

tonight 2 terrible goals. Than a really bad one on the last shootout. Lost to an inferior team. We played a bad second period NOT a bad game. You score 3 on the road and give up 2 bad ones it’s a killer.

70/30 percent split going forward in georgiev’s favor and we have a shot at the playoffs.

the other thing that needs to happen. Trade kreider soon. Not in February. Do what NJ is doing and move on. He’s barely trying out there.

Overreact much? A team that is 16-12-4 is not one of the worst teams since the lockout. Should they apologize for having Panarin and good goaltending almost every night? The last time I looked goaltending is a very important part of the game and teams that don't have it don't win no matter what their advanced stats say.

this team is terrible. we're pacing better because our combined goaltending efforts have won us 4-5 games singlehandedly this season. You can put Prime Henrik and Prime Georgiev in net right now from the start of the season and we're still not a playoff team.
 
Yeah if this team makes it to the playoffs, they would get stomped in 4 games

The play of a few is masking way too many issues that need to be addressed
