Anyone still think Hank should be starting more regularly....?

Goaltending has not been an issue this year from either Hank or Georgiev. Was that a play he would want to redo? Absolutely.

100% on him for overcommitting on that play.

We're handicapping ourselves every game Lundqvist starts. I'm sorry you can't have him play games when he's easily the 3rd best goalie in our organization.

Imagine calling Lundqvist third in the organization when Igor has never even played an NHL game yet.

Literally f***ing absurd.

Look if the rest of the roster was a contender I'd be upset about the start shares, but this season is a write-off. Hank's going to get his starts and I'm going to root for him to turn back the clock in each one.

Hank and Staal are seriously our biggest issues to this team progressing going forward. Georgiev is better than Hank at this point and we are going to lose him because of Hanks contract. Georgiev and Igor could be our 1 & 1a for the forseeable future if not for his contract.

Pure speculation, but he's been overcommitting a lot and I wonder if he is trying to compensate for a drop in quickness by playing more aggressively.

It’s a mixture of not trusting his defense, and just making a bad read. He wanted to be ready for the shot but misread the patience of the player. Can’t overcommit that badly. He paid for it.

"Strome makes a good play.... that turns into an icing."

See now that was a legitimately horrible play by Lundqvist. No nitpicking there, just brutal over committing and sliding out of position and too late getting back into position. Even as he's gotten older and not as good anymore that has to by far be one of the worst plays I've seen from him.

FFS, people. Obviously Hank isn’t the goalie he once was. And obviously he overcommitted on that.

But the problem he had regaining his balance before trying to get back to the net was clearly a fluke. We’re really going to light him up over that?
