How does the head coach not see that this is the line he has to put together! or at the very least break up the Nash-Richards-Gabby line!!!
Does anyone know the official lines for tonight (morning skate?)

Lundqvist in net, Miller skated, will be a game time decision, nothing further on the lines.

Are you sure you are a fan dude? All you ever seem to do is bash the team.

First let me say that there's alot to bash.

Secondly, I'll be 45 this summer. I am a life long fan. Always have been, always will be.

However, I am a realist first.

This team outside of a very select few has no balls.

Torts talks all he wants about jam and being stiff to play against and this is one of the easiest teams to play against. Teams below us in the standings REGULARLY dictate pace and set tempo it's disgusting.

There's so much to not like about this team and it starts with Sather and it runs DEEP into the system in terms of choice of HC for the Whale, as well as the approach to the draft.

We heard that Safe was death, yet this team plays one of the safest systems in the game and their draft strategy has been very safe as well.

All of that said, the realist in me knows that no one's job in hockey lasts and the writing is on the wall for this current HC.

Rangers miss the PO's Torts is gone.

The real problem is that the GM needs to go first. And I truly hope we get a GM from the outside because the guy that's Glen's assistant is largly responsible for this soft group of drafted players we have populating the line up.

I thought Kreider was skating well and he was on the puck.
I wanted to try and get Gabby a different look with another line maybe against another defensive pair.
Chris is doing the things we’re asking him to do, almost scores. That Richards line I think needs someone to chase down some pucks.

Oh yeah, Johnny Cakes? Then why did he not sniff a single shift in OT?

LGR.

Totally agree on Glen "our savior" Sather, but unfortunately we know he isn't going anywhere. I figure we go out thru about 9 or 10 coaches (under his regime) before he is accountable for this disastrous 13 year resume he has built here. It will be on his terms. Baby Dolan will not fire him he will most likely have to retire.

You mean the GM who drafted Stepan, traded for Nash, traded for McDonagh, drafted Callahan, drafted Lundqvist (in his first year) and drafted Staal? Last time I checked they were all pretty decent players. I mean a Vezina Trophy...and tough nosed captain...a lockdown defender....

0 Cups.

1 division title.

5 missed playoffs.

Why haven't Torts tried the hags-richards-gaborik line this season?
I think it was one of our best lines last season.

Please don't go with Gaborik-Richards-Nash again... :help:

Dont forget 4 coaches and Counting.
Wade Redden (instead of Zdeno Chara), Brashear, Chris Drury, Scott Gomez, Bobby Holik, Kasparitis (27 million). Over 230 million spend on those losers alone. Not gonna mention Brad RIchards and many others.

One time past the second round. No stanley cup finals appearances. Only made it past the 1st round twice i believe.

If he didn't step in **** by getting lundqvist in the 7th round, he'd have an even worse track record as hard as that is to believe.

Yeah, I mean the GM that signed Lindros to a bone-headed games played bonus laiden contract.

I mean the GM that traded Mike York for Tom Poti

I mean the GM that selected Jessiman over Dustin Brown, Brent Seabrook, Zach Parise, Ryan Getzlaf, Brent Burns, Ryan Kesler, Mike Richards. Eric Frickin Fehr, Corey Perry.

I mean the guy that drafted Bobby Sanguinetti over Claude Giroux, Patrick Berglund and Nick Foligno.

The GM that signed Drury to a god awful contract, Gomez to a god awful contract (finding a sucker to take the contract aside) Redden to a god awful contract when he was in clear decline for 3 years prior to coming here.

as for trades, while we are not winning and losing because he's not here. He provides a level of jam this team is missing. Korpikoski for Lisin was a doosy.

Yeah, that's the GM I'm talking about.

None of that above mentions advanding past the first round exactly 3 times during his 13 year tenure.

I'm sad that some Ranger fans are content with that resume. #mediocrity

How about just seeing them come out collectively and play a complete hockey game?

No more of this doze through the first period then wake up midway through the second crap, play their ***** off then fall thisshort in the third.

Screw that.

No more BS about "Jam" or "Battle Level", go out and win the &%$@ing game.Period.Full stop.

Hey guys I don't post often but read the boards daily all the time. Going to the game tonight with my girl who's a flyers fan. Will I be alright with wearing my rangers jersey? I'm thinking of maybe wearing my team Sweden lundqvist jersey instead. Any advice from any of you who's been to Wells Fargo before would be great! Thanks

I went to the game last april when they won 5-3...i didnt wear a jersey in case someone threw something but i did wear rangers gear and everything was fine.

All I will give Sather is a solid enough draft record. Other than that, he is absolutely terrible.

And before anyone mentions his trading wizardry, it's usually good in that it negates a previously horrendous contract. (McDonagh for Gomez, Kotalik for Prust, Dubinsky for Nash).

To be honest, I'm on the fence with him. He's made good moves lately and also some questionable moves (letting Feds go, IMO). If he didn't get fired for the Holik and Wade Redden crap, there's no reason to fire him now. He's been doing most things right as of late. Is it his fault Richards didn't train in the offseason? Is it his fault he's playing like a fourth liner on the 1st/2nd line? Of course the contract is brutal. Fortunately there's a way out of it. But he's done everything he's needed to do right now. Maybe after next season if there's no Cup, I'll say fire. Right now, nope. But of course, he hasn't given us anything really in his 13 years. That may change this year or next.
