Maybe we should give Minnesota a little credit.
3rd in the league in point %, at home, and the refs swallowed their whistles after the 1st period.
Which played into their style of play which is to smother you with a bit of touch and grab.
Kaprizov is what we hope Michkov will become in 3 years.
Kaprizov was a leading KHL scorer from 19-22 then came over at 23.
Some tough breaks, Kaprizov makes an really hard shot, can't blame Ersson on that one, had the post covered, shot hit him on the side of his head and bounces in. Next two goals come off Flyers scoring chances that go the other way.
Cates line was easily the best line today, Brink and Cates are developing some good chemistry.
Couts is becoming a real concern, another subpar performance for that line, and it's not due to TK or Farabee. I don't think he's a NHL center anymore - but Flyers have no other options this season.
Minnesota is more physical and more experienced, Flyers weren't blown out of the building, but though they kept it close (and should have tied it at 1-1 except Michkov blocked TK's shot), it was obvious who the better team was.
