Seriously, scoring an early goal against the Sens and they’d crumble and Melnyk would’ve been selling the team.

No offense but every player from Tanner Glass to Wayne Gretzky have missed connections on passes 100 feet from the net. Its only a big deal when it ends up in the net. It will happen many more times tonight for both teams.

I mean there’s nothing wrong with Hayes pulling up and trying to make a play if after making a move he saw no room to score it just didn’t work - the same as just stuffing it into the goalies pads wouldn’t.
