Correct. It should never have happened. But it did. So Hank needs to stop it. They are both at fault on the play. Moore for the initial mistake, Hank for the softie.

He needs to stop that shot.

with this logic is there any goal that a goaltender can give up that isnt soft? it was a breakway and the shooter was a guy with one of the best wrist shots in the game.

This. There's no way anyone could argue with your post, IMO, unless they're extremely biased in Lundqvist's favor.

It sucks that there are some that are so biased in his favor. They get mad at the ones that blame him for everything. So you have two absurdly biased sides pushing each other further apart.

It reminds me of Congress, to be honest.

Well that's the first time in a long time that Hank gets bailed out in a game where he has otherwise played very well.

I disagree. When you have a breakaway situation, you can't blame Lundqvist for anything. I'm a big time Lundqvist basher, but you can't blame Lundqvist on a breakaway, I'm sorry, but you can't.

There are plenty of goals that aren't soft. Notice how I didn't blame Hank for anything tonight besides the last goal?

Just because a goal is scored doesn't mean it's soft. Just because there is a bad play by another player doesn't mean a goal isn't soft.

It wasn't a breakaway. It was very stoppable. I don't think you can lay all the blame at his feet. But that is a shot he needs to save.
