No one player should have to hold onto the puck for an extended period of time and be mister hero. Nice if they do, but passing should be the first option. And keep moving, keep getting open.

It is if you consider the standings.

Montreal showed us getting physically beaten up, taking injuries and getting dominated on ice.

This game is two teams playing like **** but one had the benefit of a **** penalty and a cheesy bounce.

You can't blame Gaborik and Richards for their failures on this team. The coaching staff is forcing them to play uncomfortably to say the least. Torts and Sullivan need to open up the offense, if they don't, they need to be fired immediately. Yes they were successful last year, but last year we had a different group of players and Torts clearly doesn't want to acknowledge that the current system simply does not work with this group of players.

I'd fire Torts and Sullivan before I trade Gaborik and/or Richards.

Something isnt right.

I can't stand both Gabby and Richards but I still think Torts and Sully are to blame.

Torts has repeatedly said they don't go over offense with this team. So..what kind of coach do we have? Plus, the line shuffling is pissing me off. How are players supposed to click with one another when Torts has them promoted/demoted as the game goes by?

I'm tired of people saying this team needs toughness and grit. They have plenty of that. They need skill and scorers. They have plenty of gritty guys.

What a terrible offense. Terrible lines. Terrible play. Average players.

Really? Our top line is exactly what you describe yet how that working out? We have the softest team in the NHL. It's obvious we are unable to impose our will on an inferior opponent because we lack heart. Prust was a huge loss not replaced and forts has lost this team. Richards ****en sucks!

they need to start funneling everything to the front of the net. Pucks and bodies.

Stop the behind the net crap and get to the front of the net.

not only that, but I am starting to question the teams overall level of hockey sense and talent.

struggle to put a few passes together on the PP

Choices made WHILE on the PP

I'm talking everyone. Top to bottom.

the coach just needs to tell the team, 'you won't get benched for making a mistake on defense'. the team is just so tentative and scared...of their own coach. that's how i see it, at least. they take very few chances. and that means they score very few goals. fine if the team gets gifted the first goal, but in general, it sucks.

Brodeur scored more goals than we did tonight. Sounds good.

The team lacks true offensive firepower. A couple of forwards out of 12 does not cut it. The system can only do so much. The guys out there, skating on the ice with sticks in their hands CAN.

Its the personnel.
