Well, Jets are a top team in the league right now, lol.

But they are "only" 5-4-1 in last 10 and they played last night, won in SJ 4-3

Wanted us to grab Chibrikov in round two of his draft year. He's off to a great start (four points in his four career games) and looks like he can be an energetic top 6/9 winger

Haven't watched WPG this year. You take him over Zellweger?

I’m personally less worried about McTavish than Leo at this point

The fact of the matter is people on this board were saying over the summer that Carlsson and Celebrini are on the same level. Hell, there were people saying that Carlsson would go 1st over Celebrini if they were the same draft class. He has much higher expectations than a player like McTavish or Zegras

Cronin is a problem but perhaps there’s also some reason to be concerned that Leo isn’t quite where we hoped yet

There’s reason for concern about every single one of our drafted forwards during this tank. Some have already busted out.

I agree. Right now it’s not even worth comparing to Celebrini who just looks a lot better and will finish with likely many more points.

A lot of blame is put onto Leo’s linemates. While they aren’t great, definitely not the entirety of issue here. A good deal of the time so far, he’s been the worst player on his line.

as I’ve said before, there’s a difference between assessing somebody in one season and opining on what they’ll ultimately become. I still think Leo will be a very nice player, but he hasn’t been good this year.

I’m not too worried bout Leo personally, felt like he’ll hit his stride at 22-25 range

Mctavish is more concerning because he hasn’t really seemed to take steps forward in any parts of his game (granted I didn’t love the pick to begin with )…. Looking back at the draft not sure I was really in love with anyone…. I think I wanted us to get berniers guenther or eklund

i think gaucher is 1 of those guys that’ll look fine at nhl lvl in the role we want him for.

Prob disappointing at where we got him, but I think he’ll be good player in our bottom 6
That's fair. But I mean. That's still a tough road. Even Lundestrom, who we hoped would be more of a middle 6 presence is struggling with consistency in a bottom 6 role. In today's NHL, to be an effective bottom 6er you still need a certain blend of size, speed, defensive ability, and puck management/skill to hold possession even if the line isn't a consistent threat to score. Your average bottom 6er today would put up better numbers in the AHL than Gaucher does. He needs to pick it up.

This will be a W for the Ducks, easy peasy.

Why?

Because I now have final confirmation of getting my dream car next month - on my birthday - and not even a horrible loss tonight could drain my mood right now.

And on that bombshell: Go Ducks!
Whats the dream mobile? Cant tease us thirsty fans like that?
