I hate the 3pt contest it's become, but what can you do? Can't build a team philosophy around a type of style that players no longer play.
When's the last time someone was in the draft who was a devastating post up weapon? What players really work on that part of their game once they're in the NBA? There are no more Kevin McHales or Hakeem Olajuwons developing out there. There's not even an Adrian Dantley or Waymon Tisdale. Kobe was probably the last player who really worked on a full array of post up moves, and he was a guard.
