My wife and I just chuckled at the bathroom comment.

She had made a comment about just listening to them skate without commentary.

I agreed it was cool without commentary.

Having watched probably thousands of broadcasts...never heard the bathroom excuse for lack of commentary before...extraordinary.

Lets not forget this is our 5th game in 8 days.

Like, I'm the king of bitching about these guys being tired all the time. But this is a perfectly legitimate reason.
I don't buy it. ECHL players work harder with a denser schedule, and less sophisticated recovery.

We gave our 4 Nations guys a full day off yesterday.

I don't want to be overly critical but why are we playing so many people on their off hands, I think moving Kucherov to the 2nd line is fine but moving a LW in Gourde to do so makes literally 0 sense

Have a feeling Gourde isn't going to be as impactful as fans want the rest of the season...
Even when he was at his best here, he had a tendency to have some really cold streaks. But you won't have to worry about his effort at least.

Players like him who sacrifice every bit of their body can fall off in an instant though, but I have no idea of there have been signs of that in Seattle.

I think a lot of it is a consequence of only having 2 guys right handed guys can shoot worth a damn in Point and Bjorkstrand

I would like to see
Bjork - Point - Kuch
Hagel - Cirelli - Gourde
Guentz - Paul - Goncalves

See what Guentzel can do on his own, he makes his linemats better and can probably do so with Paul

Would be so dumb to throw away our chase at the 1st place in the Atlantic in a game against a rebuilding Boston.
Leafs gonna get their shit kicked in Colorado, we could pass them in the standings and be 1 point from Fla...

Something tells me NHL level hockey is a little more intense then ECHL, no offense to those guys.
If they're tired, then you see their legs start to fail them.

The NHL is faster and more skilled than the ECHL, but the NHL has easier travel, the latest gadgets and ways to recover between games.

These guys don't want to go to the hard areas.
