GDT: 3/28/25 7:30 Knights @ Hawks CHSN

I think you’re all being a little rough on Korch, it’s his first game back, he needs to get adjusted.

With that said, I still think he’s the #1 trade chip Davidson is going to use this offseason. Not because of anything I saw today, but because they probably want a high end scorer or two, and trade is the easiest option.

Nazar reminds of me Hagel the way he impacts the game. Really wish he was like 3-4 inches taller lol

He definitely ran his PP better than Levshunov. Levy was lost today asPPQB

In fairness to Lev, he should be flying into the zone with the puck. Not this crawling into the zone shit that coaches love. But it’s a well known fact our coaches aren’t very bright.

This was a low shotvhockey he for both teams...Theycwere jistvmorecefgicoentbpm theirvshpts...but I thought Hill made 2 or 3 ten bell sees at crucial times (egvNazar break-awayvchance,and 2 other pint bkank saves while in the key moments Knoght faikedctp prevent goals glibg past him ....do not blame him forcthe Dorofeyev Pp goal ...blame Hawks Pk guys not holding positioning not blocking the shotvlane...However the Stone softie thru the 5 hole was inexcusable and the first Olofssom goal on a rush to the net he went down in a crouch too early and was not upright in a angle square enough to the shot ..I thought 2 bad goals at least...Maybe 3 that a better goalie could have stopped.. if 1 went off a stick then can only blame him for 2 of the goals..
Get 2 more saves and it is a different game.
BTW...Bedardlost gos check (Olofsson on that goal where Knight crouched down early and was not square to the shot )...Bedard watches a lot of pucks go into our net free and clear from his missing back-checking assignmemts that
such open shot opportunities..Guy takes off and rushes to the net hoping his kinemates feeds him the puck...Bedardcdoes not go with the guy when he streeaksvin for such anticipated bang bang chances...You cannot let your man go like that ..got to stay with him him like glue.Brddatd caught letting his man go too often...then 5watches...no hustle back to check....

I think some of you guys have unrealistic expectations for this roster and younger players. Does anyone remember the mid 90’s to 2008? Building a consistent winner takes time. The defense looks on point, we just need a couple forwards to hit and the team is set (notwithstanding FA pickups).

Vlasic played 18 minutes. Wonder if he’s hurt and they’re coasting him in to end of season.

I think he's just gassed, but I also think it'll be good for his development and conditioning for future seasons. A jump from 21:29 TOI last year in his first full NHL season to 23:27 is a decent jump for a 23 year old.

Speaking of conditioning, Bedard needs to work on his and it should be priority #1 in the off season. He obviously has the natural talent, hands, shot, and can think the game at an elite level. He just needs the skating and conditioning to go with it now.

Bedard displayed his lack of speed a few times in this game. It is a concern.
I saw on twitter last year he had 102 burst above 20mph and that put him in the 74% in the league this year he has about 1/2 of that and is below 40% in the league so the eye test is matching.

would do wonders to give this tank another two years and let it end organically, don't know if ownership will allow that to happen but it would happen when you continue to add high end prospects to this roster, 2 more years of a bunch of picks to balance out the organizational depth, right now they need forwards, start with Misa, hope for McKenna, and then you're in a really good spot potentially if the D group pans out without forcing anything dumb trade/ufa wise, that would be 5 years and probably what it should take to do a teardown

Let's not forget that Vegas is a Stanley Cup contender, in fact one of the favourites in some people's minds. Hawks held their own with many young players in the line-up. Hawks seem to be on the right track from a competitive standpoint (without the results).

(I realize it's a lot but) once we have a legit first line I reckon it will be playoff contention time.

Just lacking scoring/ scoring depth up front. They’ve given up a lot of ENGs and had many OT losses, so they’ve held their own for the 2nd worst team in the league.

I was referring to last night's game. Take away the softie goal against Knight and the cheap penalty with 4 minutes to go and the outcome could have been different.

Great game.

I don't know what they did, but the transition game was sooooo much better. It's probably all the young D at this point driving that.

I was making fun of Sorensen for the line changes, but kudos to him finding those two top lines. Played awesome, now keep it together for the rest of the season.

Also I'm super impressed with Kaiser actually (Lev and Del Mastro I expect this level from now, so not surprised). If this is him going forward, he's a core piece for the D.

I love KK's puck moving, his stick work has improved as well, but he really needs to add strength or a mentality like Kaiser to be successful long term. Luckily at only 20 he's gonna do just that, but we need patience.
