He looks like a lot of forwards who come into Tampa. Has all the tools, you see the flashes, but it takes a bit to get accustomed to the team and system.

I also thought he'd be a regular on the 2nd line with Hagel-Cirelli or Guentzel-Point/Cirelli. Don't think he's best on the 3rd line, but oh well.

We are hardly the only really good team that has hiccups at this point in the year, many of our best postseasons came on the heels of bad stretches at the 3/4 mark. Panthers are 3-4 in their last 7, Toronto was just 1-5 before their recent streak. IDK why it is, players take a breath before the real grind.

I know you're a Vasy apologist and that the team can do no wrong, but yeah, the clear choice was to start Vasy last night and maximize points on the road trip.

I’m with you on that.
Hindsight maybe, but even before that trip I hoped that Vasi would suit up against Utah too and then we cover our eyes with JJ or BH vs Vegas.

long term I believe he'll be fine. just a matter of how fast he can adjust and get comfortable

I see why they are putting him on the third line with Paul. Hagel and Cirelli can pretty much play with anyone on that line. Bjorkstrand and Paul also have very similar styles and speed. I see the logic, might take a bit to work out but it has the right pieces to work.

Just laziness. They know they are going home. Its fine as long as Coop makes them bag skate and work on the defense down low. Its been abysmal for the last 2 games and its cost us both games.
