This off-season was full of "Don't worry about McKegg, he's gonna be in the AHL" and "Don't worry about Hájek, he's gonna be in the AHL" comments everywhere. It's game 3 and both are on the team. One for inexplicable reasons, the other as the first call up over Barron to center the 3rd line.

Gauthier being a healthy scratch in favour of Hunt is another one, but I don't have the energy

I think Hunt is a real diamond in the rough. He could be one of the best 4th liners in the league if somebody just gives him a chance to play.

So naturally he's the one who comes out when McKegg stays in because hockey is different here.

Yeah I think Hunt has been just fine in his role. He has good wheels, finishes all of his checks and has decent skill. He was an under the radar signing that was cheered by analytical minded people.
