Nova Scotia
They had horrid goaltending down the stretch, note that NJ finished BELOW them despite having slightly better goaltending.

Before the collapse, goaltending was average:
First 60 games, (GA - xGA)/60 = +0.06
But in those 60 games, you are including Oct and Nov games and you have spoken repeatedly that those games don't matter.

Nope.

National pride will kick in and the games are going to be intense. Just watch.
Been so long since we've seen some high level intense international hockey. Must be 10 years, and Sochi wasn't that great, imo.

It's not that those games don't matter, but if you can't finish strong, odds are even if you make the playoffs, it'll be a quick exit.

So to me, in all sports, it's not just your final record, but how you get there.
Ideally, you'll improve as the season goes along.
Last season, even with Walker gone, Seeler injured, Couts worn down, they had better metrics down the stretch, the goalies deep sixed them.

That's what I'm watching this season, I'd like to see them in the top ten of major categories the second half, ES, PK. PP, I'd be happy if they can make it to the middle of the pack. And I want improvement driven by the 25 and under players.
